This pink sandstone castle (12C) was the residence of the counts and dukes of Juliers until the 15C. From the keep, now converted into a museum devoted to the fortresses and castles of the Eifel, there is a fine view over the Ruhr valley. The church (12C) boasts a Romanesque chancel decorated with frescoes.
