This palace, Bamberg's largest, comprises four main buildings: two main blocks in the Renaissance style and two Baroque wings on the Domplatz. On the first floor, works by German masters are displayed. The imperial apartments, in particular the Emperor's Hall with its allegorical frescoes, are more than worth a visit. From the rose garden there is a fine view of the city.
