Chepinska Valley narrows into a picturesque gorge. The road and the railway line, which run alongside the river, link Velingrad to Pazardzhik. Going through the villages of Varvara and Zvanicevo (wickerwork), one soon reaches Pazardzhik. This city, established on the left bank of the Marica, is depicted by a network of narrow shaded streets.
