Housed in a superb space with contemporary architecture, the city's art museum is best known for its collections of antiques from the Mediterranean world (mainly Greece and Rome), which include more than 500 pieces from the Bronze Age to the Roman Empire. The museum also exhibits photographs by various artists (including Doisneau, Mapplethorpe, Frank, Salgado) and examples of the beginnings of this art (daguerreotypes, colotypes, stereographies etc).
