Located along a narrow lane in Suzhou's old quarter, the Museum of Opera highlights a 600-year-old Chinese tradition, of which the local kunqu style (classical opera from the 18C) is its oldest form. Visitors to the museum can admire a collection of sumptuously embroidered costumes, as well as stage mock-ups. Regular performances are held in the rear courtyard.
