De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Built between 1539 and 1543, Henry VIII commissioned this cloverleaf-shaped as the counterpart of Pendennis Castle on the opposite bank of the estuary (1.6km wide and known as the Carrick Roads), in order to defend its entrance. Set amid pleasant gardens, it offers a splendid view of Manacle Point, 16km to the south.
