This impressively symmetrical white Baroque castle (17C) is the result of a collaboration between architects Nicodemus Tessin the Elder, Jean de la Vallée and Caspar Vogel. Its buildings, laid out around the courtyard, are flanked by towers with domed lanterns. The richly decorated interior displays priceless collections of paintings, textiles, glassware, ceramics, silverware and arms. Close to the chapel, admire a remarkable engraved rune stone dating from the early 11C.
