This park designed in the 18C marks the historical heart of the city of San Gil. In its centre a fountain surrounded by imposing Ceibas (Kapok trees) presides. Come back in the evening, when the place is lit up, to enjoy the tranquillity of this setting. Looming over the square, the Catedral de la Santa Cruz (1791), with its two octagonal towers, has a fine altarpiece by Jacinto García (1965).
