To the west of the arboretum, Stow Lake, the largest water feature of Golden Gate Park, encircles the 430ft/130m-high Strawberry Hill, like a moat. Families particularly like the path around the pond that goes up to the top of the island. The small Chinese pavilion you can see near the artificial waterfall was a gift from the city of Taipei (Taiwan).
