Built in the 18C, San Fernando is one of the oldest religious buildings in the country. Its current Gothic architecture is the result of renovations carried out in 1868 by the French architect François Giraud. Every weekend, a sound and light show designed by the French artist Xavier de Richemont is projected onto the 650m2 façade, telling the story of the discovery, foundation and development of the cathedral.
