The wealth of the region explains the incredible density of handsome châteaux dotted about the vineyards: no fewer than 800 châteaux, some of which can be visited, are situated in the 7 800ha Saint-Émilion region, classified by UNESCO as a cultural landscape. These wine estates, small in size and separated by low stone walls, produce the wines of the "St-Émilion" and "St-Émilion grand cru" appellations. A pleasure for the eyes and taste buds alike!
