Housed in the palazzo of the noble Doria Pamphili family (15C-19C), this museum is home to one of the richest collections of paintings and sculptures in Rome. Caravaggio, with his Rest after the Flight to Egypt, is the star of the collection, which also includes The Flight from Egypt by Annibale Carracci, The Portrait of Innocent X Pamphili by Vélasquez, Mourning the Death of Christ by Hans Memling and the bust of Olimpia Maidalchini Pamphili by Algardi.
