The Museo Provincial de Pontevedra occupies five separate buildings. The Casa Castro Monteagudo and Pazo García Flórez are set to undergo major renovation while the Casa Fernández López is only open to researchers. Visitors only have access to the Sexto Edificio, a modern building dedicated to the evolution of Galician art from the 14C to the present day, as well to 19C-20C Spanish art. It is connected via glass walkways to the Edificio Sarmiento, which is mainly dedicated to Galician archaeology.
