Numerous artists stayed at N°12: Renoir, Friesz, Dufy, Emile Bernard, Suzanne Valadon and her son Utrillo. The poet Pierre Reverdy (1889-1960) lived here before retiring to the Abbey of Solesmes. Today it is the site of the Museum of Montmartre.
