Begun in the 17C, San Domenico is Palermo's pantheon. Its Baroque façade divided into three orders with Doric and Corinithian columns is embellished with sculptures by Giovanni Maria Serpotta. Inside, you will notice the multi-coloured marquetry in the chapel, Cappella di San Giuseppe (fourth on the right), as well as the polyptych of the Cappella del Rosario (left transept). There is a pretty 14C cloister with gemel colonnettes adjoining the church.
