According to tradition, this Gothic church was part of a convent founded in 1220 by saint Francis. However, importants renovation work recently carried has altered the original structure and the only the apsidal section has remained intact. The building has kept its Franciscan charm though. The modern stained glass windows reccount the lives of Saint Francis, Saint Cerbone and Saint Bernardino.
