This castle is a fine example of Savoyard military architecture, built between 13C-16C on an isolated hillock, not far from the Fier gorges. Inside, admire the 15C suspended spiral staircase and major collections bequeathed, along with the castle, to the Académie Florimontane: weapons, armoury, earthenware, porcelain, Far Eastern ceramics, antique furniture and four 16C bronze bas-reliefs by Nuremberg artists, Peter and Hans Vischer.
