Poised between the sea and the mountains, the Parque Nacional Monte Cristi boasts a wide variety of landscapes - coral reefs, beaches, lagoons and mangroves - and all the flora and fauna found in these habitats. Hiking enthusiasts can follow paths to Morro, which looms over the town (239m), commanding great views of the variety offered by the ecosystem here. Or perhaps you prefer to take a boat trip, or to dive down to see the hidden treasures of a galleon wreck on the seabed.
