The 17C San Pedro church dominates the town with its two high octagonal towers crowned with cupolas. Its three huge naves are home to rare furniture, including fourteen carved wooden altarpieces. On a small square to the left of the church are four baroque chapels dedicated respectively to San Francisco, San Roque, Santa Catalina and Santa Lucia, each of which is frequented by a different social group. Despite their dilapidated state, the church and chapels paint a picture of severity and melancholy.
