The Archimandrite's Palace, where the Superior lived, contains icons from Dormition Cathedral and those of the Nativity of the Virgin from Ferapontov Monastery. The former were made by artists from the Moscow and Novgorod Schools. The latter are the work of Dionisi, around 1502, recognisable by their bright, cheerful colours and extremely elongated silhouettes of the characters.
