These walls have seen a lot of History. In the early 19C they were the scene of a fierce battle between the Spaniards and the revolutionaries led by Miguel Hidalgo, in which the latter came out the victors. Transformed into a regional museum, the Granaditas Public Granary recounts the city's past in its large archaeological section and superb frescoes which can be seen on the main staircase.
