This large square in the heart of the Old Town, is where the main shopping avenues end, with incessant comings and goings of trams and crowds. In the centre, the Archduke Johann Fountain (1878) is dedicated to the town's benefactor. All around, colourful façades from the 17C, 18C, and 19C hide long medieval houses which sometimes extend for dozens of metres.
