Nowadays considered Gothenburg's trendiest quarter, the charming district of Haga was, in the 19C, the city's working class heart, where many houses were built according to the same model: a stone ground floor with two wooden floors above (it was forbidden to build higher because of the fire risk). Haga Nygata, the main street, is lined by boutiques and cafés.
