This 18C Rococo castle, which is still inhabited, is set in magnificent grounds. It houses the largest private collection of paintings in Denmark. Numerous portraits and some paintings by masters are on display in the gallery. A sumptuously decorated chapel with sculpted panels adjoins the main building. The grounds are at their most magical in May, when the tulips and other bulbs are in flower at the feet of the grand old trees.
