It juts proudly into the sea and crowns the Emerald Coast with all the splendour of its pink sandstone cliffs. From 70m above the water, the view is spectacular: to the west is Bréhat, to the east the Pointe du Grouin, and on clear days the Channel Islands; below, the steep coast with faults carved out by the ebb and flow of the turquoise sea. In spring the heath battered by sea spray is covered with wild gorse and heather. It has a renowned bird reserve.
