Built in 1908, the coliseum hosted the world's first indoor rodeo in 1918. Nowadays, the Stockyards Championship Rodeo features bull riding, calf roping and barrel racing every Friday and Saturday evening. Other shows include Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show, a revival of a traveling Western show complete with rope tricks, cowboy songs and trick riding, which was first held here in 1909.
