Situated between the Aveyron Gorges and the Lot valley, the Grotte de Foissac was discovered in 1965. A section of its long galleries is now open to visitors, offering the fascinating sight of beautiful concretions and traces of human habitation. Discoveries made here include traces of burnt wood, tools, ceramics and human bones, plus the moving image of a child's footprint which dates back 40 centuries.
