The esplanade in front of the Iglesia de Santa María de la Asunción and the castle, on the slope of the Cerro de San Cristóbal, is known as the Balcón de Andalucía. It offers magnificent views over the countryside and the Tower of Victory (Torre de la Victoria) in the foreground. Beyond, the green and ochre hues of the rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see.
