This astonishing street evokes the essence of historical Old Town district. Nine cottages on its south side, nos 325-345, are good examples of the small wooden cottages built here in former times; they could be erected in no time thanks to the technique of balloon frame construction. The tiny house at no 348 is one of the few remaining examples of one of 3 000 fire-relief huts donated by the Chicago Fire Relief and Aid Society for families left homeless by the fire.
