Du Fu (712-770) lived in this cottage set in vast grounds from 759 to 765, although the current edifice dates from the early 19C. The Chinese have been coming here since the Northern Song dynasty (960-1127) to pay homage to an author considered to be, with his contemporary Li Po, one of China's greatest poets. On display are calligraphy collections, lotus ponds and hundred-year-old bonsai trees. Tea pagoda on site.
