This museum displays numerous exhibits from the Roman era including amphorae and corks which bear witness to the commercial importance of the waters around the bay of Algeciras. Note also the exhibits relating to the Siege of Algeciras (1342-44), during which the troops of Alfonso XI employed ingenious war techniques.
