The long sandy beaches of Punta Norte, located in the north of the Valdes Peninsula in Patagonia, are inhabited all year round by sea lions and elephant seals. These marine mammals coexist from September to March with one of the largest colonies of Magellanic penguins. However, they are the prey of killer whales, which swim in the area from September to April and do not hesitate to leap out of the water to attack them.
