Peaceful Corso Umberto I is the ideal place for a stroll. Pedestrianised and gently sloping, with a gate at each end (Porta Messina and Porta Catania), the street is lined with cafés, restaurants and shops which add to its appeal. From the first section of the street, a maze of alleyways leading off to the left offers unexpected and attractive views.
