Shrouded in the clouds that hover above the humid valley, the Yellow Mountains form a striking landscape with their stunning views of canyons, precipices and peaks. The Chinese come to this place on an ascending pilgrimage to commune with the forces of the mountains and the natural elements. At the foot of these eminences, divided into four "seas of clouds", picturesque villages cultivate tea. Some of the villages are home to magnificent houses built by wealthy merchants.
