Looted and sacked by antiques' hunters, Wat Traphang Thong Lang (2km from the main entrance) has lost almost all the stucco bas-reliefs that once made it such a beautiful site. The outer walls of the mondop have retained some highly eroded 14C carvings: to the south is a Buddha descending from heaven, to the west, a teaching Buddha and to the north, Buddha soothing the elephant Nalagiri.
