The Long Island Museum of American Art, History and Carriages comprises a Museum of Art, a Museum of the History of Transport in America and several period buildings, including a blacksmith's shop, schoolhouse and barn. The Art Museum exhibits the work of artist William Sidney Mount (1807-1868), who settled in Stony Brook.
