Praia do Pesqueiro is located 9km north of Soure and is easily accessible via moto-taxi. On this immense, deserted fine sand beach are a few small restaurants where you can sample the local prawns and fish. In the marshland, at the edge of the beach, buffalo graze beneath the flight of red ibises. It's advisable to wear sandals when walking on the beach as the stingrays hidden in the sand will sting any bare feet that accidentally tread on them.
