The Forum of Swiss History Schwyz, opened in 1995, is the headquarters of the Swiss National Museum of Central Switzerland. The top three floors are devoted to the era surrounding the foundation of the Old Swiss Confederacy in the Middle Ages. More topical subjects are covered in the temporary exhibitions displayed in the basement.
