Inaugurated in 2013, the Museu de Arte do Rio, dedicated to the arts and visual cultures, houses temporary exhibitions going from Baroque art to modern art. It occupies an unusual-looking architectural ensemble, combining a Belle Époque building and a former bus station, renovated using lots of glass and with a wave-shaped structure on top. The top floor of the glass building offers a very fine view.
