Built between 1664 and 1672, this fine residence was home to the Morgans, a wealthy family of landowners and entrepreneurs. The interior has been largely redecorated, but features original furniture (note the Brown Room with its exuberant sculpture, the Gilt Room and the cedar study, with its scented wood panelling). The park has retained some of its original features, such as the superb wrought-iron gate and geometric flowerbeds.
