In addition to two cemeteries, water reservoirs and Radio Canada's transmission tower, Mt. Royal (233m/764ft) boasts a fantastic park whose landscaped grounds are one of the city's most popular recreational spots. To the west of Mt. Royal lies the former Anglophone enclave of Westmount, one of the city's most exclusive residential areas. Gracing the hill's eastern flank is the town of Outremont, home to Montreal's Francophone élite.
