Dedicated in 1990 and surrounded by a tranquil lily pond, the Holocaust Memorial stands on a plaza of pale pink Jerusalem stone. You reach it via confined passages, in which children's singing resonates movingly in Hebrew. The centrepiece is Kenneth Treister's Sculpture of Love and Anguish, which comprises several bronze vignettes and a giant 13m-high outstretched arm symbolising the last gesture of a dying person.
