The centre of the town is Piazza della Repubblica, which is dominated by the Chiesa Madre and the senatorial palace, completed in 18C. Via Garibaldi leads to the town hall, a former Spanish military compound. Don't miss the fish market, held each morning behind the town hall. To the north, Via Garibaldi runs into Via Rapisardi, which is lined with beautiful 18C palazzi.
