The Marrakech palm grove, the country's northernmost, is planted with almost 100 000 trees. Sadly, recurrent drought has damaged what used to be a huge tropical garden. The young trees planted in recent years are gradually taking root, but they have not as yet succeeded in recreating the luxuriant ambience of the palm grove, which is now the setting for a top-notch urbanisation process. Rides in horse-drawn carriages available.
