Separated from Cres by a narrow channel, Losinj commands sweeping views of the Adriatic, glimpses of which are visible from the road which alternates between the Istrian and the Velebit coasts. The sea here is still home to dolphins, which are protected by the Blue World association founded in Veli Losinj. Inland are picturesque villages whose golden stone is lit up by the sun. The entire island is paradise for amateur photographers.
