Lined with shops and craftsmen's workshops, this bridge is the copy of the masterpiece built in 1874-76 by Kolju Ficeto, the famous builder from Veliko Turnovo. Coupled with a road bridge, it leads to Todor-Kirkov Square, in the heart of the old Varoša district. Strolling along the narrow streets clinging to the cliffside, on the right bank of the river, you will discover fine houses in the National Awakening style, covered with silver-coloured stone-slab roofs. Some of these have been turned into taverns.
