Like a sapphire embedded in a deep crater, Lac d'Issarlès in the Ardèche region blends the brilliance of its deep blue waters with its volcanic splendour dotted with peaks. The egg-shaped lake is part of the Montpezat hydroelectric complex, which provokes variations in the water level: be informed before you go around it (5 km). In summer, the lake and its beach attract bathers. Finally, you should know that there is a rock (15min walk from the village) that forms an excellent lookout over the lake.
