In Krynica, all roads lead to this Ulica Nowotarskiego, also called "Deptak". It is an extension of shop-lined Boulevard J. Piłsudskiego, and is parallel to the road leading to Muszyna. In the centre of the promenade is a statue of the poet Adam Mickiewicz, not far from a bandstand. This wide esplanade, bordered by the Kryniczanska River, sees most of the thermal activity. The juxtaposition of 19C and 20C architecture creates a striking contrast.
