This 37km-long coastal road is one of the most picturesque in the eastern United States. Paved in its entirety, Colonial Parkway snakes alongside streams, marshland teeming with birds, and very colourful forests. Another bonus: it joins the historical sites of Jamestown, cradle of the British colonies, and Yorktown, where the settlers won their independence from the British.
