Devoted to birds from Brazil and South America (1 320 exhibits representing 143 species), the park also boasts numerous varieties of plants, reptiles (crocodiles, snakes, iguanas) and butterflies which bear witness to the biodiversity of the local area. Aviaries within a superb forest here are home to parrots, macaws, ibis, owls, cassowaries, colibri and toucans which can be approached at close quarters by visitors and in some cases even touched.
